ver the last 16 years, BS Nagesh built up one of India's largest retail chains, Shopper's Stop. From a one-store set-up in Mumbai, Shopper's Stop today has a national presence with over 20 stores and over 9,50,000 sq ft of retail space. The 48 yr-old retail guru has also been instrumental in buying the Crossword chain of bookstores, setting up and opening the country's largest hypermarket HyperCITY, franchise of various brands like MAC and Mothercare.

The 'Customer Care Associate' in Nagesh's designation that comes before MD is striking. He explains, "This is present for all employees of Shopper's Stop because they affirm that customer care is something that people at all levels of a business organisation must be attuned to."... more
