id Nation, a CBS network reality programme featuring children has seen a surge in the number of advertisers associated with the programme, despite having found it difficult in the initial stages to attract advertisers. The number of advertisers has trebled even as the audience base has seen a decline. Advertisers such as McDonald's, PetSmart, Lysol and T-Mobile are known to have purchased advertising slots during the programme.
A total of three commercials were featured in the first episode of the programme. The improvement in the number of advertisers became conspicuous from the second episode, which involved advertisers such as General Motors' OnStar navigation system. Companies that have advertised on the show include Denny's (a restaurant chain), automakers Subaru, Hyundai and Mazda, Maybelline, Sears, Vagisil and Icy Hot pain reliever, PetSmart and Mc Donald's.... more
