n an effort to make the web an ally, Time Inc has declared an online service, to be launched next year, which will allow users to subscribe to a host of magazines from a variety of publishers. The flexible payment options include schemes such as pay-as-you-go and mix-and-match. Subscribers to the service (and the magazines) will have the facility to make a monthly payment for three subscriptions and the option of exchanging or cancelling a subscription according to the users convenience. Subscribers to the service will be called 'Maghound'.
The subscriptions have to be paid for by a credit card, which will be charged every month until cancellation of the subscription. Maghounds can edit subscription preferences online, giving the consumer control and flexibility over the process of subscribing to magazines.
