he Eastman Kodak Company will no longer be associated with the Olympics in the capacity of sponsor after the 2008 Games to be held in Beijing. Previously, Kodak had been among the top twelve sponsors given the rights to market the Olympics logo.

Kodak's association with the Olympic Games dates back to 1896, when the first modern games were held in Athens. The company, which is in the process of transforming into a digital entity, has cited a shift in its marketing strategy as the reason for the end of the association, adding that the company will in the future invest in marketing endeavours that are more direct and prolonged.... more
