"Your world of communication just got simpler," says Airtel�s new ad. That�s because Bharti Tele-Ventures has unified its telecom services under its flagship brand, Airtel. With this, Airtel has become India�s first integrated telecom brand, providing not just mobile services, but broadband and telephone services, long distance and enterprise services as well. Now on, Bharti�s fixed-line service Touchtel, long distance carrier IndiaOne and Infotel, its data and broadband services will all be known as Airtel.

In a prepared statement announcing the unification, Rajan Bharti Mittal, joint managing director, Bharti Tele-Ventures, commented, "A unified brand approach will ring in the benefits of a common identity, scale and size for the company. This will make us a single window provider of a suite of world-class telecom services, thereby making the lives of our customers simpler. The integrated brand will also bring in the benefits of a larger distribution network, unique bundling offers and more." ... more
