o what happens to "McDonald�s jaane ka bahana number 59 or 46 or ..."? Not happy with drawing the mamas, papas, chunnus and munnus to its 58 (35 in north India and 23 in the west and one to be opened in Bangalore soon) outlets across the country, the US-born fast food giant is now knocking at your door. Those burgers and fries and everything else is now just a phone call away, thanks to the home delivery service that the company has recently started. (The catch, however, is that McDonald�s doesn�t promise a maximum delivery time... "30 minutes or...").
Eating out, for the average Indian, is a family affair. A common sight at any McDonald�s outlet is the Great Indian Family, ordering its quota of Happy Meals and soft serves, coffees and wraps. It is mostly the time-starved professionals and young adults with the desperate urge to grab a quick bite, who are expected to keep the home delivery cash registers ringing.
