First, it launched India�s Best Warranty Policy of four years per 80,000 km. HMI followed up with a week-long offer, between November 26 and December 2, when it reduced prices of its premium mid-size sedan Elantra.
The price of the base model GT was slashed by Rs 1.33 lakh to Rs 7.48 lakh, while that of the GLS model was cut by Rs 1.67 lakh to about Rs 8 lakh. The price of the diesel model, the Elantra CRDi, was cut by Rs 81,000 to Rs 9.78 lakh. The offer was advertised mainly in print, and sales of the Elantra touched 1,000 units during the period, exceeding the company�s target of 600-odd units.
