Well-oiled strategy

iding the health wave in the 11-million-tonne edible oil market (of which the branded segment accounts for 1.1 million tonne), the Rs 3,535-crore Ruchi Soya Industries (RSI), recently launched Nutrela Healthy Cooking Oils. RSI, the flagship of Indore-based Ruchi group, expects that the new range - which comprises refined sunflower and soyabean oils - will help it increase its marketshare to 8-10 per cent in both the soya and sunflower categories in a year�s time.

The company claims that the new range is enriched with vitamins A, D and E, the benefits of which are widely known. While vitamin A improves eyesight and is necessary for proper bone growth, tooth development and reproduction, vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium, helping to form and maintain strong bones. On its part, vitamin E improves blood circulation and makes the skin and hair healthy. "With gyms and skin clinics springing up everywhere, it is evident that people are embracing every means to improve their life.
