hat�s common to GoodKnight, Gillette Mach3, Mahindra Sarpanch, HP engine oil and Hercules MTB? They all come packed with turbo power. Call it an advertising gimmick, the latest marketing tool/ branding strategy or simply a hook to latch a campaign on, there is no escaping the Big T.

By definition, a turbo is a boosting device that enhances engine performance by allowing it to burn more fuel and air. In other words, a turbo-charged engine produces more power overall than the same engine without the charging. No wonder marketers are keen on adopting the word to sell their various products - be it a washing machine, a bicycle, a pen, a tractor, or a sedan.
