Kaun Banega Child Genius?

eginning May 16, kids may have one more reason to sit in front of the telly, but they might be watching a channel you�d least expect them to - STAR World. In the offing is India�s Child Genius (ICG), the search for India�s smartest kid. Produced by Synergy Communications and hosted by veteran Siddhartha Basu, the quiz-cum-game show will comprise 27 episodes, slotted for 9.00 pm on Sundays. For STAR, it is a move aimed at replicating the success of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) that was launched in 2000 and made STAR Plus the number one cable and satellite channel soon after.

"ICG will be based on a range of mental faculties, such as logical and analytical ability, scientific knowledge, verbal skills and not just general knowledge," explains a STAR spokesperson. "The show promises to test the analytical minds of young geeks, how fast their brains work and the application of logic with presence of mind.
