ith full-page ads in lead English dailies, Jet Airways recently an-nounced its online booking service along with an electronic ticketing facility. This will allow passengers to book tickets to nearly all destinations on the airline�s network. At the launch, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, chief executive officer, Jet Airways, said, "Travelling on an e-ticket is becoming a global practice. It is convenient, safe, quicker to deliver and reduces the hassle of carrying conventional air tickets."
About 20,000 passengers fly Jet everyday. The user-friendly web booking engine allows consumers to book one-way, return or multiple-segment tickets in four simple steps. It searches the flyer�s request, checks availability, provides an option to review the itinerary and gives a final confirmation. This facility will be available for over 255 daily flights operated by the airline except for those from/to Srinagar, Khajuraho, Kochi and Colombo.
