Less pain in the neck

or those with a pain in the neck here�s some hope. Arvind Brands� Arrow has launched a range of shirts with self-adjustable collars that sit comfortably around the neck. The button on the collar is mounted on a flexible band that offers a perfect fit. "The collar size across brands is standardised, wherein the body and collar specifications are pre-fixed," says Janak Dave, business head, Arrow. "Sometimes the neck size does not match the collar size; so there is discomfort through the day and inconvenience while wearing a tie. Arrow launched the self-adjusting collar to address this problem."

Shirts with adjustable collars are made of two-ply cotton, and come in 18 fabric and colour options. Price between Rs 1,295 and Rs 2,195, the range is targeted at working professionals. Over the next couple of months, Arvind Brands hopes to sell 5,000 shirts with adjustable collars.... more
