They cited sales of high-end phones in developed countries and lower-end models in emerging markets. Nokia raised its full-year 2005 shipment forecast to 740 million. That would be up 15 per cent from 2004. The company�s prior estimate was 707 million, up 10 per cent from last year.
Nokia posted $9.6 billion in overall first-quarter revenue, up 17 per cent from�year earlier. That beat estimates of $9.45 billion. Nokia shipped 54 million phones, up 20 per cent from a year earlier.
