TC�s Foods Division wants to whip up things in a jiffy. After making its presence felt in the ready-to-eat foods category through Kitchens of India and Aashirvaad, it has now launched itself into the ready-to-cook instant snacks market with Sunfeast Pasta Treat. Introduced in Bangalore in the first phase, the product will be available nationally within the next two months.

"With the evolving tastes of the Indian consumer and the need to provide variety to the Indian palate, it was an apt proposition to launch a ready-to-cook instant snack offering," says Ravi Naware, divisional chief executive, ITC Foods Division. Sunfeast Pasta Treat is available in four flavours - Masala, Sour Cream Onion, Cheese and Tomato and Cheese - in 83-gm packs with a 15-gm sauce maker. Made from high-protein Durum wheat, it is being promoted as a healthy snack offering since it contains no flour and is baked, not fried.... more
